The journey to Ang Thong by speed boat is a well-organised affair. The driver is punctual, picking up travellers from their hotels in the morning. A small breakfast awaits at the office in Thong Sala before the departure by speed boat. The staff are friendly and the tour itself is a delightful experience. Activities include snorkelling, bathing in the sea, kayaking, and climbing to the top of a viewpoint for those willing. There is no rush, with ample time for everything. A very tasty lunch is served in the meantime, and the return journey is always on time. This leaves travellers feeling very satisfied.

Asia Blue is a recommended tour operator for a trip to Ang Thong National Marine Park by speed boat from Koh Phangan. Even on a day with a little rain, the snorkelling and kayaking experiences are amazing. The boats are not overcrowded, with a maximum of 25 people on board. The staff at the Thong Nai Pang office, especially Mikaela, are very helpful and sweet. The staff on the boat are amazing, very nice and accommodating.

However, it is important to note that the water visibility at the snorkelling site may not always be as clear as promised. The visibility can be poor, similar to that on Koh Tao, due to floating sediment. Also, despite assurances of a small group, the site can be crowded with multiple boats. On the return journey, the boat may take on additional passengers from other boats. Despite these issues, the staff on the boat are very friendly.

Booking a tour with Asia Blue and asking for Max and his crew is a great idea. They go above and beyond to make the experience the best it can be. They manage to pack a lot of activities into a short amount of time, making it a memorable experience.

Gary and Lynn from Asia Blue are lovely people who are always ready to help. Even when a boat trip had to be cancelled due to bad weather, they were able to arrange a quad bike tour instead. This flexibility and willingness to accommodate changes is greatly appreciated by travellers.

However, not all experiences with Asia Blue have been positive. There have been instances of overcrowded boats, lack of life vests, and rough handling of the boat by the crew. In one unfortunate incident, a traveller suffered a serious injury due to the boat hitting a big wave. The tour operator declined any responsibility and refused to pay compensation for the medical costs. This has led to a warning to calculate the risk before booking a tour through Asia Blue.

There have also been instances of tours being cancelled due to bad weather and drivers being delayed. In such cases, the agency has promised refunds. Despite these issues, the drivers are generally nice and do their best to provide a good service.
