The cost of transport and boat rides can quickly add up, making the trip a bit expensive. The boat rides range from 600 baht for an hour to 1,500 baht for a three-hour Water Lily tour. While a Grab taxi can get you to the lake for 110 baht, getting back into town can be a problem as there is no Grab coverage in the area.

Despite these challenges, the beauty of Bueng Boraphet makes the journey worthwhile. The lake is a beautiful spot, with boats available for rent for a few hours tour. The tranquility of the lake is only disturbed by the loud engine of the boat, but the sight of different bird species and open sea flowers more than makes up for it.

There is accommodation available at Bueng Boraphet itself, with a room at the hotel costing 600 Baht a night and chalets with a capacity of four people costing 1,500 per night. Staying on site is recommended for those who want to focus on the flora and fauna of the lake.

Bueng Boraphet is the largest freshwater body in Thailand, serving as a safe haven for fishes and birds. There are many activities to enjoy, both indoor and outdoor, such as Monkey shows, crocodile shows, and an indoor aquarium. The boat ride to see the wildlife and plants in the freshwater pond comes highly recommended.

The best time to take a boat ride is either in the morning, before 10 am, or in the evening, after 3 pm. The place is especially crowded during the winter months, from December to February. To get there from Bangkok, one can either drive, which takes about three hours, or take a train, which takes about four hours.
