Hydronauts is a highly recommended diving center that offers an amazing fun diving experience. The entire team is friendly, helpful, and prioritizes safety. The office and shop team, led by Katie, are well organized and provide detailed information about the dives, including the dive site and weather conditions. Gary, one of the instructors, is passionate about diving and ensures the safety of the divers both on the boat and underwater. The diving center also has a bar where divers can relax with a Chang or Mojito after their diving sessions.Hydronauts is located in Koh Tao, a popular destination for scuba diving in Thailand. The center offers a variety of courses, including the Open Water 20 and Explorer 30. The student to instructor ratio is kept low to ensure high teaching standards. Zach, one of the instructors, is known for his relaxed teaching style and extensive knowledge. The center is beach facing, offering breathtaking sunrise and sunset views. The equipment used is of high quality and the dive boat is in top condition. The center also offers accommodation and hosts BBQs twice a week with a fire show.
Hydronauts is an established name on Koh Tao and is recommended for both beginners and experienced divers. The center was recently bought by a new management team who also purchased a hotel to create a one-stop shop for diving. The center teaches the RAID diving program, which is accepted worldwide and prepares divers for challenging ocean conditions. The dive instructor team at Hydronauts is considered one of the finest on the island.
The center offers a comprehensive RAID open water 20 meters diver certification course. The course includes classroom sessions, quiz exams, pool-prep dive, and four 45-minute open water reef dives. The course is conducted under the guidance of Master Dive Instructor Nik Hall. The center also has a resort overlooking the beach and bar, offering convenience for families.
Hydronauts boasts excellent facilities, including three teaching rooms, a teaching pool, and experienced instructors. The center offers a 3-day fully insured course, which has been highly praised by participants. The center also offers a 'Try Dive' experience, with simple and patient instructions provided by the instructors. Liz, one of the instructors, is particularly recommended for her patience, thoroughness, and professionalism.
For those interested in technical diving, Hydronauts offers courses taught by Erik Brown, also known as Master Chief. The courses are highly professional, conducted in a safe and controlled manner, and use top-notch equipment.
