Given the international interest in the cave following a significant rescue effort involving English-speaking divers, it is hoped that English translations will be added in the future. The cave has seen significant improvements in accessibility over the past few years. Initially, visitors had to walk from the car park and could only view limited parts of the cave from a distance. However, there is now a fleet of vehicles that run regularly up to the cave, and guided tours are available. These changes have greatly enhanced the experience for tourists.

The cave is a poignant place, commemorating the 13 soccer boys and their coach who were trapped there. Visitors can explore the museum and the grounds, although it's worth noting that late afternoon visits may not allow enough time to get close to the cave itself.

The Tham Khao Luang Cave has been transformed into a popular tourist destination in memory of the 2018 Cave Rescue. There are ample parking spots available for those arriving by car. From the lower level parking area, visitors can take a songthaew up to the top or drive up themselves. The area around the cave now hosts numerous local businesses selling food and clothing items. Comfortable shoes are recommended for the walk from the parking area to the cave. The cave entrance is blocked off, but visitors can view maps and photos of the rescue, as well as a statue commemorating a Thai Navy SEAL who lost his life during the rescue.

The cave itself is fascinating. The entrance stairway is lined with gold Buddhas, and many smaller gold Buddha statues are displayed throughout the cave. The cave is well-lit in places, and torches are provided by guides for darker areas. Monks often visit the cave to meditate and sleep, and the cave's colorful crystallized rock formations add to its allure. A temple with a large white Buddha statue is located near the cave, adding to the overall experience.

For those interested in caves, this site can be worth the trip, although it's worth noting that flooding can restrict access for much of the year. Visitors are advised to bring their own flashlights. The park also features a nice picnic area. However, serious spelunkers may find the experience somewhat lacking.

While the caves are extensive, running for several kilometers, only the first 500 meters or so are accessible for exploration. The lack of electricity can make it difficult to appreciate the details of the cave, especially the ceiling. Torches are available for rent at the entrance, but their power is limited. The entrance features a raised walkway, but further into the cave, visitors must navigate through thick mud in the dark. As such, the cave may be best appreciated by those with a strong interest in caves.
