The temple, known as Wat Khemaphirataram, is a significant historical site that dates back to the Ayutthaya period. Originally known as Wat Khemar, it underwent significant renovations during the reign of King Rattanakosin. The temple is home to several important religious artifacts and points of worship, including a 30-meter tall stupa that houses the Buddha's relics and a beautifully adorned ordination hall. The ordination hall houses a principal Buddha image in the Maravijaya attitude and a transformed Indra Buddha image, both in the Sukhothai art style. Surrounding the principal Buddha image are 80 disciples, each with their names inscribed at the base of their statues. The wall paintings around the ordination hall are truly a sight to behold.
