AKA Thailand is a premier Muay Thai, Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), and Fitness Training Camp. It is a paradise for everyone, from novices to professionals. The camp is owned by original AKA team member and 15x UFC Veteran Mike “Quick” Swick, Internet magnate Blair Speers, and AKA founder, Javier Mendez. AKA Thailand is a globally renowned name in the world of combat sports, offering fighters and enthusiasts from all over the world the opportunity to experience traditional Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, MMA, and Strength & Conditioning classes in the tropics of Thailand.

One visitor's first time at AKA was in December 2019, originally planning for a 2-week training period. However, the experience was so captivating that they ended up staying for a month and a half. The training at AKA Thailand is second to none, whether you're into Muay Thai, Kickboxing, or MMA. The coaches push you to become the best version of yourself, and the work is very honest. The visitor was so inspired by friends who had their first fight in Phuket, training out of AKA Thailand, that they set a goal to have a fight in Thailand. The visitor returned to AKA Thailand in January 2020, determined to achieve their goal.

The environment at AKA Thailand is amazing, with positive vibes from the moment you step off your motorbike. The Muay Thai Training is unique, with each coach having a personal style, focusing on the details of every individual. The facilities are wide, big, and very clean. One visitor even changed their flight to stay one more week after their last training session.

AKA Thailand is a welcoming place where professionals, amateurs, and newbies can all mingle. There is no air of arrogance, everyone is there to learn and get better. The facility is not overwhelming and is super clean. It has an indoor bbj/mma room, outdoor Muay Thai facility, a basketball court, change rooms, and a restaurant. The contender café has a menu that will satisfy any palette. It's also a great place to chill pre or post practice.

AKA Thailand is a perfect combination of a resort and a martial arts gym. The location is great, the staff is helpful, the food is awesome, and most importantly, the training culture is safe and friendly. Morning amateur training with coach Dillon is spot on, getting a lot of work on technique and conditioning done in just an hour. Evening BJJ with coach Marcio is great as well, with many people to practice with from all over the world.

One visitor trained at AKA Thailand for a month and found it absolutely amazing. The place is really clean with a lot to offer. The food is delicious, with a menu that caters to everyone. The personnel is very friendly, and they form a really good team. The visitor enjoyed every training session, from Muay Thai to BJJ, MMA, and everything in between. The people who come there are also very friendly, easy to talk to, and you will always find a new friend to hang out and train with.

However, not all experiences are perfect. One visitor found the facility outstanding, very clean, and with a great café selling healthy fresh affordable food. The Muay Thai classes were great, very informative with lots of coaches to students, and lots of feedback. The location of AKA is perfect too. However, the visitor felt slightly ignored in the BJJ class and felt that there was absolutely no coaching, guidance, or advice in the pro class.

Despite the occasional lows, many visitors feel at home at AKA Thailand after just a week. The place has everything you need, different gyms indoors and outdoors, a café with everything, and super-clean facilities. It suits beginners to professionals, and personal training sessions are highly recommended. The trainers adapt to your level and make sure you enjoy the training. The people are so welcoming and look after you.
