For instance, a guide named "Tree" was noted to be quite introverted and not as proficient in English. Some of the activities listed in the tour description, such as visiting the market, reaching spectacular viewpoints, cooking lunch, and exploring untouched jungle, were not included in the tour with this guide. Instead, the trek consisted mainly of rice fields and gravel roads. Despite these discrepancies, the tour was still deemed amazing, with the guide's village being described as the most idyllic place some have ever visited. It is recommended to ensure that Kalu is your guide for the best experience.Kalu, on the other hand, is highly recommended by many. His knowledge, friendliness, and cooking skills are praised, as well as his ability to entertain with his guitar in the evenings. His tours are described as the best trekking experience some have had, with highlights including rafting, exploring the jungle, and meeting his family. It is suggested that you will not be disappointed if you book any trips with Kalu.
Another guide, Sunshine, is also highly recommended. Despite a miscommunication about the tour, Sunshine ensured that the group had a great time. His stories, jokes, and interesting facts were appreciated by all. The beautiful Asian jungle was a highlight of the tour with Sunshine.
The 1-day jungle tour with Kalu is another fantastic option. The tour begins with a visit to a small elephant sanctuary, followed by a hike through a beautiful jungle. Kalu's explanations about the jungle and his lifestyle are insightful. After a 5 km hike, you arrive at a tribe village where Kalu lives. Here, he prepares a delicious lunch. The tour concludes with a 9 km bamboo raft ride down the river, a thrilling experience that requires effort to dodge rocks with bamboo sticks.
The 2-day jungle trekking tour is another excellent choice. Kalu, a jungle-born fellow, leads this tour. His education, knowledge, good English, and passion for what he does make him an excellent guide. His great sense of humor ensures lots of fun and laughter. The tour includes trekking through the jungle, visiting villages, waterfall, rafting, and interacting with elephants. Kalu's hospitality, including wonderful food and a candlelight dinner, is memorable.
The 2-day, 1-night trekking tour with Preeda is another highly recommended option. This tour includes visiting a waterfall, hot springs, trekking in the jungle, preparing dinner, sleeping in a house of the Karen tribe, rafting, having lunch at the Lahu tribe, and playing with elephants. Preeda's knowledge about Thailand, Thai people, their culture, the jungle, and elephants enhances the experience. This tour is described as the best part of some travelers' trip to Thailand.
