About Andaman Wave Master

The journey began with a bit of a hiccup. The boat that was promised in the brochure was not the one they were put on. Instead of a sun deck and a smaller group, they found themselves crammed into the inside of a hot boat with no view outside. Despite the disappointment, they had paid 30 USD each for the ride, which included a hotel transfer from Patong. The expectation was a sun deck and a smaller group, which was why they had paid a higher price.

However, not all experiences were negative. One traveler had a smooth speed boat ride from Phuket to Koh Phi Phi during Thailand's sandbox stay. The company was very responsive through Facebook messenger and email, and made sure they were informed of all the documents they would need. Despite the boat being slightly late, the ride was smooth even in choppy seas. The return journey had some very choppy swell, but the boat driver was skilled and navigated the swells to keep the boat upright and moving quickly. The traveler felt confident in the pilot's abilities, even in the challenging conditions.

Another traveler had an exciting excursion to Koh Racha and Coral Island. The journey to Kho Racha was hectic due to the waves and the weather was not ideal. However, they landed on a beautiful blue bay and got on a cart to arrive at the Siam Bay. This bay was fabulous, with clear water and nice landscapes. They went snorkeling off the coast of Koh Racha, seeing corals, sea urchins, and a variety of fish. After that, they headed to Coral Island for lunch at Banana beach. The weather improved, and the color of the water was amazing. They took a lot of pictures and relaxed on the beach in the afternoon. They found Andaman Wave Master to be a professional company that knows Thailand well.

However, not all experiences were positive. One couple booked the premium package for their 32nd wedding anniversary. They found the air-conditioned lounges on the ferry to be great, but the speed boat trip around the island felt rushed. The names of the places they stopped at were not clearly given, and the resort lunch was subpar. There was a misunderstanding with the guide about the time they had on the island, which resulted in them running out of time for a swim and champagne. When they tried to explain the misunderstanding to the guide, he became annoyed.

Another traveler had a great experience with the ferry service. They booked online for a return trip to Phi Phi Leh from Phuler. They had to reschedule the trip due to personal reasons, and the company was very helpful. The trip started from Rassada Pier, which was a 40-50 minute drive from Kata Beach. The boat was nice with 3 decks, and they upgraded to first class for a fee of 300 baht. They provided complementary coffee and refreshments, and the trip took two hours to reach Phi Phi.

However, another traveler had a negative experience with a combined high-speed ferry and minibus transfer. When they arrived at the destination pier, they were guided to a place where they were supposed to find the minibus driver. However, the driver was not there, and they were unable to get help from the company. They ended up waiting 2 hours in the heat with their baby. They sent an official complaint but did not receive a proper response or apology.

One traveler had a nice experience on the Royal Jet Cruise. They had 3 different classes, Standard, First, and Premium. They booked First class and later upgraded to Premium by paying an extra 500TBH. They found the Premium class to be more comfortable and less crowded. However, they found it strange that the upgrade fee was the same for both Standard and First class. They recommended staying one night in Koh Phi Phi to fully experience the beauty of the island, as day trips can be hectic.
