About Ao Thian
The beach is a stunning sight to behold, offering a variety of accommodations to suit different tastes and budgets. During the day, it is a haven of tranquility, with its soft white sands and the gentle lapping of the waves. However, visitors should be aware that the serenity is disrupted in the evenings, from around 7pm to 10:30-11:00pm, when the Sangthian resort plays loud live music that can be heard all over Ao Thian. This might not be ideal for those seeking a quiet retreat, especially families with children. One visitor, who stayed at a resort about 200 yards away, found the noise too much and left after just one night.Despite this, the cove has its own unique charm. The accommodations might be best described as 'shabby chic', but they are cost-effective and can be just perfect for some. One visitor, who stayed for three nights, wished they could have stayed longer. They visited out of season and found the beaches almost deserted, which was just to their liking. The rocky outcrops provide excellent opportunities for casual snorkeling. For those who crave a bit of the 'fast life' of a packed tourist cove, it's just around the headland, about a 15/20 minute walk away. This is also where you can find an ATM. The cove is best reached by speed boat or hotel boat, which adds to its calm, relaxing vibe. The visitor promised to return.
The beach at the Sang Thian resort was singled out for praise, with its nice sand and a few rocks on the side. However, it was noted that this was perhaps the only really nice thing about the resort.
On the other hand, not everyone was impressed with the beach. One visitor described it as small and quiet, but felt it was let down by a few run-down resorts. They also noted that there were plenty of rocks, which they didn't find very picturesque. They were disappointed with the color of the water, which was not very blue. They advised skipping this beach and said they would not stay here again.
