About Baan Sabai Spa

Nestled halfway between Emporium and K-Village on Sukumvit soi 26, not far from the Prom Pong BTS station, lies a luxurious and relaxing spa. This convenient location also offers parking for customers who prefer to drive. The spa is a haven for those seeking a wonderful massage experience in the heart of Bangkok. The interior is modern and conveys a homey feeling right from the beginning, making it a beautiful massage parlor to visit. The Aromatherapy Massage & Herbal Press treatment for 120 minutes comes highly recommended by many who have experienced it.

The spa offers a relaxing aroma massage at a reasonable price. For 1600baht, one can enjoy 2 hours of aroma oil massage (90mins) and a body scrub (30mins). The rooms are stylishly designed, though the bath tub may seem a bit old. Sweet mango is served before and after the massage, adding a delightful touch to the experience. The spa encourages tipping, suggesting 100baht for a job well done.

The spa also offers an authentic Therapeutic Thai Massage. On a busy Sunday afternoon, one might find the spa fully booked, but the accommodating staff, including the welcoming Marco, might allow hopeful guests to wait for a potential opening. The therapy rooms are very clean, and the therapists are professional and polite. The 90-minute Deep Tissue Massage is a popular choice among guests. Despite some noise from outside, the massage experience is so relaxing that one might even fall asleep during the treatment.

However, not all experiences at the spa have been perfect. Some guests have found the massage too strong despite giving multiple reminders to the masseur. The rooms are designed for one person only and are quite small. The air conditioning is directed towards the massage bed, which can make the room quite cold. Some guests have also found the duration of the massage to be shorter than expected.

Despite these minor issues, the spa is considered a luxurious place for the best price. The owner, Marco, is known to give tips on how to choose the right treatments and how to save money. The Thai massage is highly praised, with the experienced therapists even offering advice on how to relieve pain at home. The spa also provides additional services such as aloe vera cream for burns and plasters to protect wounds from getting dirty on the streets. The rooms are very nice, clean, and quiet, making it a perfect place for a relaxing afternoon.

However, some guests have been a little disappointed with their experience. The spa is a fair distance from the prompong BTS station and is situated next to Four Wings hotel. Upon arrival, guests are informed that they only accept cash when the owner is not present. The treatment rooms lack the usual relaxing ambiance of scented candles and soft spa music. The noise from the traffic outside and the occasional conversation between the therapists can be distracting. The soap dispenser in the shower stall is often empty, and the shampoo is the only alternative. Despite these issues, the therapists are good at what they do.

The spa is often described as the definition of tranquil. After a fall on one of Bangkok's infamous stairs during a rain storm, one guest visited the spa and found the treatments to be healing. The spa offers three types of massage (Thai, hot oil, and medicine ball), all of which are highly recommended. The owner, Marco, is known for his wisdom and helpful advice. This spa is a must-visit for all who are in Bangkok.
