At Bangkok by the River Tours, we run private canal boat tours that show you the real side of Bangkok. Not just the big landmarks, but the everyday life along the water. As you explore the famous khlongs, you’ll get a closer look at the city’s history, culture, and local communities.
We love taking guests beyond the usual tourist spots. When you cruise through the canals of Thonburi, you’ll see wooden stilt houses, small local markets, and families who still live closely connected to the water. It’s a side of Bangkok many visitors never get to experience.
Our tours are personal and friendly. We share stories about the area, explain local traditions, and show you beautiful photo spots along the way. Every tour is private, so you can relax and enjoy the journey at your own pace.
On weekdays, you can choose a one-hour private canal tour, perfect if you want a quick introduction to Bangkok’s canals and daily life along the water. If you have more time, the two-hour tour takes you further into Thonburi with visits to additional highlights. For a more complete experience, the three-hour private canal tour brings you deeper into the canals, with more time to explore cultural landmarks and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
On weekends, you can choose a three-hour or four-hour private canal tour. These longer options are ideal if you would like to visit floating markets or canal-side temples that are only open during the weekend. The four-hour tour offers the most complete experience, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the atmosphere of Bangkok’s canals at a relaxed pace. The one-hour and two-hour tours are also available on weekends.
