About Bangkok Float Center
Bangkok Float Center is a unique wellness destination in Thailand, offering a truly dedicated float center experience. The center boasts private spa suites equipped with state-of-the-art Dream Pods, designed to allow the body to rest in a zero-gravity environment. Each float tank is filled with around 1200 pounds of epsom salt in about 10 inches of water, creating a buoyancy that allows visitors to float effortlessly. This unique experience can help relieve pain, improve sleep, detoxify the body, reduce stress, and promote healing. It's a place where the mind can truly shut down and rest, all just a float away. The center's approach to wellness is based on the principle of sensory deprivation. By eliminating all sensory input, the brain is allowed to relax, freeing up the creative, relaxed part of the brain. This process can lower the body's levels of cortisol, the main chemical component of stress, and release elevated levels of dopamine and endorphins, the neurotransmitters of happiness.
For first-time floaters, the experience can be fantastic. The water temperature is perfect, and the sensation of floating without struggle is unlike being in a pool. Some visitors prefer to float with the pod open, as the air can feel quite stuffy with the pod closed. For maximum enjoyment, it's recommended to turn off the lights. After the session, a cup of blue tea is served, which is great for maintaining relaxation. However, some visitors have noted that even with ear plugs, the occasional vehicle passing by can be heard, although it's relatively soft.
Regular visitors to the Bangkok Float Center find that the experience gets better with every float. The friendly staff, clean and welcoming environment, and the refreshing feeling after each float make it a must-visit every time they are in Bangkok.
The center also offers a deep meditative experience. The knowledgeable staff provide a brief overview of the process and the benefits. The 90-minute session can be quite surreal, with the perception of time completely distorted while in the tank. However, some visitors have noted that even with plugs, some motorbike noise from the street outside and some very muted talking in the hallway can be heard.
The experience at the Bangkok Float Center can vary from person to person. Some visitors may find the isolation tank experience not to their liking, while others may find it extremely relaxing. The relaxation room is comfortable, and the staff provide tea and mango candy for those waiting. The atmosphere of the place is described as pleasant and cozy.
For some, the experience at the Bangkok Float Center is better than a massage. It's considered a great investment in self-love and offers one of the most blissfully relaxing experiences. The facilities are new and clean, and the meditation/waiting room with Himalayan salt is a surprising bonus. The staff are described as calm, welcoming, caring, and gentle, providing assistance before and after the float journey.
Regular visitors to the Bangkok Float Center find floating calming both physically and mentally. Some compare it to meditation, but note that it is its own unique experience. Each session is unique and has become an integral part of their wellness routine.
For first-time visitors, the experience can be surreal. After a guided tour of the rooms and clear instructions, visitors are left alone to enter the pod and float. Despite initial claustrophobic thoughts, the experience is described as amazing. An hour later, after a shower, visitors report feeling more relaxed and rejuvenated than from any other therapies they have had.
