About Benjasiri Park
Often referred to as the Queen's Park, this location was built to commemorate a significant royal birthday and is a treasure trove of Thai sculpture. It's a popular spot for locals and tourists alike, who enjoy the park's vast expanse for morning jogs and leisurely strolls. The park is conveniently located opposite a popular hotel, making it easily accessible for guests. The park's size is impressive, with a large lake that is perfect for running around. During the New Year, the park becomes a hub of celebration with a spectacular firework show. However, it's important to note that the park has different pricing for locals and foreigners. The membership and entrance fees are significantly higher for foreigners, which has been a point of contention for some visitors. Despite this, the park remains a popular destination due to its central location and amenities.
Located in the heart of the city, the park is a green oasis amidst the urban landscape. It boasts walking trails, a running track, and even exercise equipment. There are plenty of benches for those who prefer to sit and soak in the tranquility. In the mornings, the park comes alive with groups practicing yoga and Tai Chi.
Adjacent to the Emporium mall, the park is a garden on Sukhumvit Road, Bangkok. It spans over 10 acres and offers a variety of activities for all ages. There's an open gym for men and women, a basketball court, and even a large lake with a jogging track around it. Food and beverage options are available inside the park and just outside next to the Phrom Phong station.
While the park is a great place for humans, it's not so friendly for dogs. Despite appearing in searches for dog parks, dogs are not allowed in the park. This is something to keep in mind for those planning to visit with their furry friends.
The park, though small, is situated next to The Emporium shopping centre on Sukhumvit Rd. It's home to a large number of pigeons, despite signs warning against feeding them. Cleanliness can be an issue, with litter police stationed outside the park gates to enforce fines for littering. It's advised to be mindful of this when visiting the park.
For those staying at the Imperial Queen’s Park, the park is easily accessible from the hotel side entrance. The park is a non-smoking area, with police officers patrolling the area. The park features a pond, benches, a children's corner, and public toilets. The park is surrounded by high-rise buildings, providing a stark contrast between nature and urban development. The park is home to many doves, which are not afraid of humans, adding to the park's charm. However, the park could use more shade, as the trees are not tall or big enough to provide adequate cover during sunny afternoons. Despite this, the park is a breath of fresh air in the bustling city of Bangkok. Convenient transportation options are available from the park, with taxis and the Sky Train providing easy access to other parts of the city.
