The artificial seaside cave is a treasure trove of fascinating items, with the large Buddha statue being the main attraction. The cave is filled with incredibly lifelike statues of monks, each one unique and worth a closer look. Every nook and cranny of the cave reveals something new and interesting. The cave also offers stunning views of the sea, making it a must-visit spot. However, visitors should be cautious as parts of the long passage through the cave can be slippery, especially for the elderly.

At the end of Hua Hin, perched on a rock plinth, is a large golden Buddha. This statue is accessible either at low tide from ground level or by walking up a road to the top of the hill. The area is a bit run down and there's plenty of monkey mess, but it's still worth a visit. The monkeys are a unique feature of this location, with a whole colony living at the top of the steps. Visitors can spend hours watching the monkeys of all ages.

The journey to the Buddha statue can be a pleasant walk across Takiab beach and up some steps. Along the way, there are vendors selling ice lollies and drinks, and seats where visitors can rest and enjoy the view. There are also a few stray cats in the area, which are calm and cared for by the vendors. The view from the top is lovely, and it's recommended to combine this visit with a walk on the beach and a visit to the temple on the hill. The temple is just a 15-minute walk along the same path and up the steps.
