However, the park has seen better days. Over the years, it has suffered from neglect and poor maintenance, with overgrown weeds, water hyacinths, and rubbish scattered around. The once charming gazebos and buildings are now abandoned and broken down, and the pathways are in a state of disrepair. A bridge now runs across the lake, and while it's unclear whether this addition enhances the aesthetics of the place, it certainly marks a change. A night market has also been introduced, adding more activity, but also more fumes and rubbish. Despite these changes, the park remains a popular spot for exercise, with many people still jogging and participating in aerobics.

The lake loop, which is approximately three kilometers long, is a great place for a leisurely stroll. Along the way, you'll come across the Chinese cultural center and its immaculate garden, as well as a stunning temple that invites a walk up nine flights of stairs for those looking for a detour. There are also many restaurants just outside the lake and a daily night market that begins around 4:30 pm, offering a variety of food stalls and other vendors.

The park also features a large brontosaurus overlooking the southeastern edge, and squirrels can often be seen feeding on fruits left to tempt them down from the trees. The park is a great place for exercise or relaxation, with beautiful flower decorations and sporting facilities available for use.

However, the park is currently a work in progress. Major dredging operations are taking place, turning much of the area into a construction zone and disturbing the peace and natural beauty of the park. Despite these changes, the park still offers a variety of interesting sights, including dinosaurs and art statues, outdoor exercise equipment, children's playground equipment, and a wide variety of trees and landscaping.

The park is surrounded by Thai restaurants and convenience stores, ensuring that food and drinks are never far away. There are also several bathroom facilities around the park, although a small fee is required for use. Despite the ongoing construction and signs of inadequate maintenance, the park remains a popular outdoor venue for locals and tourists alike.
