About Camp Chang Kalim

This place, which claims to be a sanctuary for elephants, is far from it. Visitors have reported seeing elephants in a state of neglect, constantly subjected to physical abuse. The sight is so distressing that it has brought some visitors to tears, forcing them to leave within minutes of their arrival. The experience is so shocking that it has compelled some to share their experiences in hopes of raising awareness about the mistreatment of these majestic creatures.

The elephant trekking experience offered here is far from satisfactory. The trainers are reportedly unfriendly and the trekking route is confined to a small compound. The trainers have been known to leave visitors on the elephants while they rest, making the visitors feel like they are merely bait for mosquitoes. The only time the trainers attempt to interact with the visitors is when they are trying to sell souvenirs. The monkey show offered is also disappointing, with poorly trained monkeys and a mediocre performance.

The treatment of the elephants is a cause for concern. They are left out in the hot sun all day with barely any shade, constantly ridden by tourists. The sight of these magnificent creatures being treated so poorly is enough to make anyone's heart ache. There are reports of elephants being beaten with tools and having to endure the heat without adequate care. The keepers who ride the elephants have been described as heartless, treating the elephants poorly and even asking visitors for extra money to take photos.

The elephant trekking experience in this place is not recommended. The elephants are reportedly mistreated and tortured to train them. Some visitors have reported seeing elephants with bloody scars on their trunks, a result of discipline from the owners. The trainers have been seen beating the elephants to make them move, causing the elephants to squeal and yelp in response. The sight is so distressing that it leaves a deep feeling of shame and regret in the hearts of the visitors.

The experience at this place is far from pleasant. Visitors have reported feeling threatened by the people handling the elephants, causing anxiety and fear. The poor treatment of the animals and the hostile behavior of the handlers have led some visitors to involve the police. The regret of having paid money to support such a place is a common sentiment among visitors.

The conditions in which the elephants are kept are deplorable. They are chained to very short chains, limiting their movement. The grounds are dirty and littered with elephant waste. The handlers use sharp spikes on wooden handles to control the elephants, causing them physical harm. The sight of a handler blaming an elephant for a tool breaking and then attacking the elephant has left visitors feeling enraged and helpless. The sight of a sad monkey in a small cage further adds to the distressing experience.

The treatment of the elephants at this place is a stark contrast to the treatment of elephants in other places, such as India, where elephants are treated with respect and care. Visitors are urged to avoid this place at all costs and to support places that treat animals with the respect and care they deserve.
