About Chaloklum Diving

Chaloklum Diving is a highly recommended dive company that has left a lasting impression on many of its patrons. From the moment they meet Nick, the owner, visitors feel instantly comfortable. His experience is very apparent and he offers great advice. The company offers trips to Sail Rock, a popular diving spot, and even though some visitors couldn't make it to other locations, they were more than satisfied with their experience. Maria, one of the dive guides, is excellent. She provides great pre-dive briefings and leads divers around to see the marine life. The conversations between dives are also a highlight for many.

The dive shop is well-equipped and staffed with lovely people. Even last-minute inquiries are handled with ease. The scuba review with Michi, one of the instructors, is very detailed and he takes a lot of time reviewing the skills with divers. Unfortunately, due to bad weather conditions, visibility can sometimes be less than ideal. However, Nick is very honest about it and recommends a day trip on a chartered longtail boat rather than a trip to Sail Rock when conditions are not favorable. The equipment is well maintained and all in all, visitors have a nice dive experience despite the weather conditions.

Chaloklum Diving is also a great team for diving with adults and kids. They are fantastic at teaching and leading dives and they also care for the natural environment, doing regular reef cleaning and picking up discarded nets. They offer Open Water courses and have been a favorite for many returning visitors. They also offer scuba diving experiences for kids, which are thoroughly enjoyed. The instructors are great at making important material easy to understand and enjoyable.

The PADI Open Water course offered by Chaloklum Diving is highly recommended. The instructors, including Mickie, Francois, and Nick, are all true professionals who make divers feel comfortable and confident. They teach all the skills and techniques needed to keep divers safe and enjoying themselves. Many have found this course to be more in-depth and prepare them more fully than any other dive shops in Thailand.

Chaloklum Diving also offers fun dives at Sail Rock. The dive masters are knowledgeable and swim at a suitable pace for divers to see lots of the coral and fish. The meals provided during the dives are also appreciated, with the lunch being particularly fantastic.

For those who plan to spend a longer time on the island, Chaloklum Diving offers both Open Water and Advanced Open Water courses. The dive instructors are highly experienced and the owners are very kind and honest. They prioritize safety and would never send divers out when the conditions are bad.
