About Dive & Relax

Dive & Relax is a highly recommended diving outfit that offers a seamless and enjoyable diving experience. The owner, Cameron, is known for his efficient communication and factual information, ensuring that all queries are handled promptly. The speedboat used for the diving trips is a major highlight, allowing for quick trips to most diving sites. The longer trips to Din Daeng & Din Muang are also worth the extra time, offering a unique diving experience. The boat departs from the resort/dive school, ensuring that divers reach the sites before the crowds.

The dive staff at Dive & Relax are a diverse mix of British, Danish, Thai, and other nationalities. They are praised for their patience, knowledge, and ability to spot the tiny creatures that make the diving experience worthwhile. Safety is a top priority, with thorough briefings and groupings based on diver experience. The boat captain and his staff are also very helpful, assisting with kitting up and getting in and out of the water. The overall experience is truly a 'dive & relax' one.

Between dives, a Thai meal of rice, vegetables, and meat (or a vegetarian option) is served, along with complimentary soft drinks. It is recommended to pre-book the diving as the boat fills up quickly. The team, including Cameron, Or, Tor, Nan(?), Adam, and the boat crew, are thanked for their hard work.

The diving experience is smooth from start to finish, from the initial contact, hotel pick up, dive briefings, diving, debriefs, and return hotel transfers. The boat is in great condition, and the rental gear is also satisfactory. The diving instructors, including Julian, are fantastic, and the food and drinks provided make for a great day out. The small diving groups and amazing staff make it a company worth returning to.

For first-time divers, the Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) experience is highly recommended. The personal attention and instruction are excellent, with a 1:1 diver to instructor ratio. The dives include a mix of skills instruction and freedom, allowing for a balanced experience. The marine wildlife sightings are a highlight, and the price point, while higher than other operators, is considered worth it for the personal attention and professionalism.

Dive & Relax is praised for its professionalism and efficiency. The company is known for its punctuality, with hotel pick-ups and drop-offs always on time. The instructors are friendly and knowledgeable, making every effort to show as much as possible on the reef. The diving itself is described as awesome, with sightings of whale sharks, leopard sharks, guitar sharks, and black tips. The concentration of fish in the area is also a highlight.

Dive & Relax is also a great choice for those staying at the hotel where they have their shop. The staff, including Greg and OH, are welcoming and informative. The use of a speedboat for travel to the dive site is a plus, as is the small group size. The company is highly recommended for diving in Koh Lanta.
