About Elephant Family Phuket
The tour was booked just a day before, but it turned out to be a brilliant decision. The couple was eager to engage in elephant-friendly activities and this experience exceeded their expectations. They were taught how to feed the elephants and were allowed to participate in their daily routine. They even had the opportunity to help bathe the elephants, which was a lot of fun. The experience was simply amazing and unforgettable.This place is considered the best experience in Phuket. It's a perfect blend of learning, understanding, and fun. The staff is friendly and the elephants, referred to as super cute huge babies, are a delight. It's a place that shouldn't be missed, embodying true eco-tourism. It's suitable for all ages and comes highly recommended. The visitor was so impressed that they plan to return.
The desire to meet elephants in Thailand was a driving factor for one visitor. They wanted to support an ethical establishment and witness genuine love and affection. After a long search, they found this place where people truly care for the elephants and strive to make the visitor's experience wonderful.
The entire trip was described as amazing. Depending on the package chosen, visitors can engage in different activities with the elephants. There's no need for sandals or extra T-shirts, and they even provide professional cameras. All the pictures are uploaded on Facebook. The elephants are adorable and very fun to play with, making for a wonderful time.
One couple participated in the half-day elephant care morning program and couldn't recommend the company highly enough. The whole experience was fantastic. The staff was incredibly friendly and offered to take photos throughout the day. Upon arrival, they were taught about elephant care, the history of the Karen tribe, and the life of an elephant carer. They fed the elephants, prepared healthy snacks, and soaked herbs for their skin. After bathing and having a mud bath with the elephants, they were taken to the bathrooms to shower. The tour included a basic but good lunch. This experience will stay with them forever.
However, not all visitors were completely satisfied. One visitor noted that while the establishment is better than those offering elephant rides, it's not a sanctuary. They observed that the owners have realized there's more money to be made by marketing as a sanctuary and having guests bathe elephants, rather than ride them. In reality, they still hire the elephants out for wedding photos and the like, using the elephants as a way to make money.
Another visitor loved the entire experience at the Elephant family. There was close interaction with the elephants as they fed, bathed, and applied mud and scrubbed their backs. They advise future visitors to be prepared to get messy and wet. They highly recommend this trip.
