About Friendship Beach
The BoatHouse Kata Beach is a delightful place to stay, offering a unique blend of comfort and luxury. The accommodation is smart, modern, and boutique, with a clean and inviting atmosphere. The staff are always ready to assist, providing excellent service with a smile. The food is top-notch, with a variety of delicious options to choose from.One of the highlights of the stay is the large deck next to the beach, just 15 meters away. It provides a shady spot to relax and enjoy the stunning views of the sun, sea, and sand. The sound of the sea provides a soothing backdrop for a peaceful night's sleep. There's also a beautiful dipping pool with an infinity edge overlooking the sand, perfect for a refreshing dip.
For those who enjoy a change of scenery, there's a bar to the left of the pool called Kata Mama. It offers a range of Thai food and drinks, with a fantastic view of the sea. The breakfast table also offers a splendid view, accompanied by excellent coffee, a true testament to the quality of the resort.
The beach is a great place for a long walk, especially during low tide when the ground is exposed. It's a fascinating sight, but visitors are advised to wear proper footwear and avoid stepping on the coral.
The BoatHouse Kata Beach is also a popular choice for destination weddings. The management is accommodating and welcoming, ensuring that the special day is a memorable one. The staff are friendly and patient, even when the event runs a bit longer than expected.
The poolside bar and restaurant are a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. The food is excellent, and the service, combined with the view of the ocean, makes for a very pleasant experience.
However, the beach is not ideal for swimming due to its muddy nature at low tide. It's more suited for kitesurfing, with a kitesurfing club located nearby. Despite this, the beach offers a unique experience of living in the real Thailand, which can be quite enjoyable.
Friendship Beach is another great place to visit. It's a wonderful spot for a peaceful walk along the beach during low tide, especially for families with kids. There's also a lovely resort nearby where visitors can stop for a bite to eat.
While the resort offers a range of amenities, some visitors may find it a bit pricey. An afternoon at the resort, including a meal and a few drinks, can cost around 1280 baht. However, the pool and the sea offer great alternatives for a refreshing dip.
