About Ganesha Park

The temple is a sight to behold, with its giant Lord Ganesha idols standing majestically in the outdoors. There are also several smaller idols spread all over the temple, each one intricately designed and beautifully crafted. A Hindu priest is present, offering prayers in a serene atmosphere that invites tranquility and peace.

Located in Nakhon Nayok, the temple is also known as the Ganesha Park. It is a quiet and calm place, perfect for those seeking solitude and a moment of reflection. It is conveniently located on the way to a waterfall and dam, making it a must-visit spot for those exploring the area.

The journey to the temple from Khao Yai National Park is a scenic drive, leading to the two large statues that are quite extraordinary indeed. The reclining Ganesh, despite some ageing scaffolding around much of the base, is a sight to behold. Visitors can enjoy walking around, looking at the many other statues there. The park also has facilities such as toilets, making it a comfortable visit.

While some may argue that the temple is just a collection of statues, it is important to note that these statues hold significant religious and cultural value. The area is surrounded by numerous elephant statues, each one a symbol of the revered deity, Ganesha.

The temple is not just a tourist attraction, but also a special place of worship for the Thai people. The giant Goddess Elephant human sculpture is a unique sight, offering a glimpse into the local culture and religious practices. The quiet atmosphere of the place adds to its spiritual appeal.

The park is a visual feast for Ganesh fans. The elephant-headed deity, also known as Ganesha, is the son of the Hindu gods Shiva and Parvati. Despite Thailand being predominantly Buddhist, Ganesh is still very popular as a remover of obstacles. The park houses a giant Ganesh, along with 32 different forms of Ganesh, each with its own attributes. Visitors are invited to make offerings to each of them in hopes of receiving a boon.

The park is not just a place of worship, but also a commercial enterprise. It offers various Ganesh images for sale, catering to the spiritual needs of Thais and visitors from other countries in the region who revere Ganesh. While it may not have the intellectual characteristics of a museum, it successfully meets the spiritual needs of its visitors.

The temple houses two large Kaneshas in different attitudes, sitting and reclining. Walking around these two and making a wish is believed to bring success. The temple, with its serene atmosphere and beautiful idols, is a place where faith and belief come together, offering a unique spiritual experience.
