The travelers were able to customize their itinerary to suit their needs, starting with five days in Bangkok before heading to Chiang Mai. In Chiang Mai, the travelers had a half-day experience at the Elephant Nature Park, a sanctuary endorsed by Animal Planet and National Geographic. This sanctuary is dedicated to the care and well-being of elephants, a fact that travelers should consider when choosing an elephant sanctuary to visit. The travelers also participated in a cooking class, which included a trip to the market to purchase Thai produce and spices. Their guide in the north, Toy, did an excellent job showing them the temples and the Golden Triangle. The travelers were so impressed with their experience that they expressed a desire to travel with Odynovo again.

The journey continued with a four-day tour of Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai. The travelers visited the White and Blue Temples, ventured into the Golden Triangle area, crossed the border into Myanmar, and visited some of the hill tribe villages in the far north. In Chiang Mai, they embarked on a half-day bike tour, exploring the outskirts of the city, visiting small neighborhoods, and a rice farm. Their guide, Noi, did an exceptional job introducing them to local villages and markets.

The travelers were in Chiang Mai during Loi Krathong, a water festival. Noi took the initiative to meet them at their hotel in the evening to take them to the east side of the city to witness the festivities. The next day, the airport was chaotic due to the celebration, but Noi ensured they made their flight.

The activities in Chiang Mai were diverse, ranging from visiting the elephant sanctuary to a full day of biking with an excellent guide, to a half-day cooking class, and even trying the zipline. Odynovo arranged everything meticulously, making the discovery of Thailand very enjoyable. The travelers appreciated the choice of the Elephant Nature Park, which is a protective area for elephants and respects the animals. They highly recommended Odynovo for a tour to Thailand, praising the choice of guides in Chiang Mai and Bangkok.

The travelers found the people in Thailand to be friendly, sincere, and happy. They were impressed with the guide's fluency in English and his ability to answer all their curious questions. The driver was also exceptional, even receiving a fine for two of the travelers not wearing seat belts and not asking to be reimbursed.

In Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai, the travelers had a wonderful local guide called Ms. Lynda and a driver, who were both knowledgeable, pleasant, interesting, and responsible. They both spoke English perfectly, making the experience even more enjoyable. The travelers highly recommended both Indochina Odyssey Tours and Liz Ling, the organizer and planner for their tour. They found everything about their trip to be well thought out down to the smallest detail. The local guides were amazing and knowledgeable professionals.
