This is a place that is worth spending an afternoon at, soaking in the tranquility and beauty of nature.The island offers a full day of discovery, from west to east, and it is full of pleasant surprises. The mangroves, secret beaches, waterfalls, and kayaking opportunities make for an exciting day out. The journey starts at 8:30 in the morning from the hotel and ends around 5 in the evening. The package includes meals and an hour of kayaking. The guide is friendly, helpful, and speaks English, making the experience even more enjoyable. The tour is reasonably priced at 999 THB per person, which includes a private car and driver. The pictures taken during the trip are a testament to the beauty of the island.
Ko Chang is a paradise that is easy and affordable to reach. Whether you choose to travel by taxi, minibus, or plane, the journey is straightforward. The most economical option is the minibus, which departs from the first floor of the airport. The round trip ticket costs 900 THB per passenger and the journey takes about 6 hours. The ticket price includes travel to the ferry on a minibus, ferry ride, and travel to a hotel on the west coast up to Lonely Beach. There are no issues with food on the island. For 199 THB, one can enjoy a buffet meal, and there are numerous cafes and restaurants to suit all budgets. There are tour offices every 300-400 meters where one can book tours to the islands, waterfalls, and even trips to Cambodia.
Getting around the island is convenient on scooters or motorcycles, which can be rented at almost every corner for as low as 150 THB per day. However, it's important to remember that traffic in Thailand is left-hand drive, and there are some dangerous passes on Chang. It is highly recommended to wear a helmet, and if you wish to leave the island, an international driving permit is required. Taxis are also available and start from 50 THB per person. The island offers beautiful quiet beaches, stunning landscapes, and friendly locals, making it a must-visit destination.
