Kon Tiki is a diving company that offers an incredible experience for both seasoned divers and beginners. The staff are known for their professionalism and friendliness, always ensuring that their guests feel safe and have a great time. They are also attentive to their guests' needs, providing snacks, fruits, and delicious cooked foods between dives. The dive boat is comfortable, and it takes about two hours one way to reach the dive sites. For those prone to seasickness, it is recommended to take pills in advance.The dive sites themselves are breathtaking. Some of the popular ones include Koh Phi Phi and Bida Nok, as well as the ASK cluster. The marine life is abundant, thanks to the reduced number of divers and tourists during the pandemic. Visibility is excellent, up to 15-20m for most dives, allowing divers to see a lot. Some lucky divers have even spotted leopard sharks. Kon Tiki is highly recommended for anyone thinking of diving in Krabi.
Kon Tiki is also family-friendly. They offer a range of courses for different skill levels, from the 'Discover Scuba' course for beginners to 'fun dives' for experienced divers. The instructors, such as Daniel and Mette, are praised for their professionalism, calm demeanor, and clear instructions. Over the course of three days, even children can grow in confidence and skill under their guidance. Kon Tiki has helped many discover a love for scuba diving.
The Kon-Tiki crew is known for providing the most complete dive experience. From the booking process to the hotel pickup, the boat driver, the support staff, and the dive instructors, everyone contributes to ensuring a fantastic time for the guests. Special mentions go to Angela, Steve, and Svante for their exceptional service.
Kon Tiki also offers the PADI freediving course with Brendon Sing, a marine biologist with a passion for the ocean and its protection. He is known for his professionalism and his ability to gradually increase the comfort levels of those who feel anxious in the ocean.
Kon Tiki operates dive shops in Ao Nang and Koh Lanta. They offer great service, including on-time pick up from hotels. The offshore islands around Krabi, such as Phi Phi Island, are great for diving. Novice divers can feel confident under the guidance of experienced instructors like Caroline Andersen, who can guide them through the corals and point out various marine life.
Kon Tiki also offers a full day diving/snorkeling experience off Phi Phi Islands. The business is well-organized, with great communication and dive and snorkeling instructors. All equipment is in excellent condition, and the boat crew ensures that divers are well-fed and hydrated. While the sighting of large marine life is not guaranteed, the overall experience is wonderful and highly recommended.
