Laem Samila beach is a popular destination in Songkhla, frequented by both locals and tourists. The beach is easily accessible, making it a convenient spot for those looking to enjoy some Vitamin Sea.

Despite its popularity, the beach has been noted for its cleanliness issues. While the beach boasts many interesting features, including sculptures and facilities, the lack of responsibility for keeping the beach clean is disappointing. The tide-line often becomes a mass of rubbish, detracting from the otherwise impressive beach.

For those looking to spend a day at the beach, a tuk-tuk can be booked for a reasonable price. A stroll along the beach on a sunny day is a delightful experience. Visitors can enjoy the sun, the breeze, and even a horse ride. The golden mermaid statue is a popular spot for photos. Along the road from the carpark to the beach, stalls offer a variety of souvenirs at prices much cheaper than in Hat Yai.

The beach's beauty is enhanced by the presence of pine trees and beige sand. However, the beach's cleanliness is often maintained by Trash Hero volunteers. While stricter no-plastic rules would be beneficial, it's important for visitors to remember not to litter. Despite these issues, Laem Samila beach remains a great place in a beautiful region.

The beach is also known for its iconic mermaid statue. Located just about 2 1/2 kms from the market, the beach can be easily accessed by local buses. The beach is bordered by shady pine trees in the afternoon, making it a wonderful place to swim, have a picnic, or just hang out.

The beach offers a relaxing and quiet environment. The water is clear and clean, and the beach is not overly crowded. Horse riding is available, and small gift stalls and shops can be found near the beach road.

Laem Samila beach is the most popular and most visited beach in Songkhla province. Just a 1 to 2 hours drive by songtheow from Hat Yai Plaza, the white sandy beach stretches nearly 5 km long to Son On beach. The beach's popularity is largely due to its beautiful scenery, relaxing environment, and the famous mermaid sculpture. Despite the cleanliness issues, Laem Samila beach remains a must-visit destination in Songkhla.
