About Lamai Scuba Diving

The PADI diving course is a must-try experience for anyone visiting the island. The course begins with a basic theory session, followed by a trip to some of the most fantastic diving spots. The team, led by Clive, is known for their openness, kindness, and friendliness. They are well-prepared, organized, and professional, ensuring that every participant has an unforgettable experience. Many have expressed their desire to return and highly recommend the course to others.

The Open Water certification is another popular choice among visitors. One couple, who were on their honeymoon, shared their experience of completing the certification. The husband was already certified, but the wife had four more dives to complete hers. They appreciated the fact that they could both go on the same four dives at different levels. Despite initial hesitations about potential communication or language barriers in Thailand, they found Clive to be an excellent communicator. He was thorough in ensuring that every step of the certification process was understood and comfortable. The couple traveled to Koh Samui on the first day and Sail Rock on the second day, with Sail Rock being a particularly incredible place to dive. Clive even took photos and videos of them, allowing them to look back and remember their dives.

The island offers plenty of choices for diving, but many have praised Clive for his exceptional service from beginning to end. The tours arranged by Clive, including Sail Rock and Lighthouse, are excellent. The visibility is great, and Clive's superb planning and guiding ensure maximum dive and air times. Many different types of fish can be seen, including the blue spotted sting ray and Goliath Groupa. The whale shark remains elusive, but that just gives visitors another reason to return next year!

The diving center is known for its professionalism and organization. They take care of everything, from pick-up from the hotel to drop-off at the end of the day. The team is friendly and always manages to propose the best diving schedule, taking into account other planned activities. Many have had a great experience and a nice time diving in Samui, expressing their hopes to return soon.

The 3 dive day trip is another popular option. The trip uses a catamaran, a nice and spacious boat. The trip includes three excellent dives with Clive and other customers. The favorite dive spots in the area include Southwest Pinnacle, Chumpon Pinnacle, and Sail Rock. The team makes an effort to provide quality food, including real Italian bread for breakfast onboard. Many have expressed their intention to use Samui Island Divers again on their next visit to Samui.

Family dive trips to Koh Tao are also available. One family of five shared their wonderful experience of a 2 dive trip to Koh Tao with Clive and Arnauld. The team picked them up from their hotel and were very helpful throughout the trip. As newly certified divers, the family appreciated the guidance and patience of the team. The coral off Koh Tao is amazing, and they saw a sea turtle, sea snake, and blue spotted stingray. Arnauld even took some great pictures that he shared with them. However, be prepared for the 90-minute, often bumpy, speedboat ride from Koh Samui to Koh Tao, and consider bringing some snacks. The lunch provided (chicken curry) might not be to everyone's taste.
