It's a good idea to take a taxi to reach the market, as it's quite a distance from the city center.

The market is quite large, with locals selling everything from bags and clothing to earrings, clocks, and accessories. You can find almost anything you might need for your household in the middle of the square. On the edge of the square, you can find a wide selection of local food. From chili seafood to mango with sauce, ramen soup, and ice dessert, you can find all the food you need for the night. It's a great place to experience the local culture and cuisine.

The wares at the market are mostly imitations made in China or from the region. They are good copies, but definitely not original. However, they are all affordable, and you may even get a small discount. You can also find some decent food at very affordable prices. However, some of the restaurants do have suspect hygiene conditions, so it's a good idea to be cautious if you are susceptible to food cleanliness and the effects after eating. There's a nice carpark spot opposite the market, so if you're driving, you can leave your car there safe with other cars parked. The market is not a good place to go if it rains, as there is very little shelter. It's a good place for children and perfect for those on a very tight budget.

The market is located very far, and the only way to reach there, if you have limited time, is by taxi. The first thing that you will notice once you reach here is that this market caters to local Thai residents. It's a proper authentic Thai market and hardly any vendor there speaks English. The prices on merchandise are very low, but so is the quality. It's a good idea to give this market a try only if you have lots of time in your hands. Otherwise, there are plenty of good markets around.

The market is a bit of distance from Bangkok city, so it's a good idea to plan your timing carefully. It's a great place to enjoy a good local food dinner, then walk around the area to shop till you drop. After shopping, you can chill out at many of the small pubs. But beware of the loud chaotic music every pub is playing! Some pubs are playing Dance Music, some Thai POP, and some Live bands, it's a mix of everything! That is the reason why many people love Bangkok! It's a good mix of everything you want!

Taking a taxi to the market is the most convenient and easiest way to get there. Since the train and subway do not stop next to the market, that is not an option. However, you might consider taking the subway to the Lat Phrao station before catching a taxi. The Lat Phrao station will at least get you as close to the night market as possible. From that station to the night market, it took the cab about 15 minutes and the cost (using the meter) was about 115 baht.

The market is located nearby Don Mueang Airport. So if you are staying in one of the hotel near the airport you should just grab a cab to this place. It's another huge market by the highway and has lots of variety. They sell everything on the floor and you can find almost anything here from food, beers, clothing, toys and etc. You can find preloved item or what the local might call bundle shop where they sell second hand item (branded and non-branded). They also provides ample of stalls and restaurant basically a food court nearby the entrance of the market. And if you walk a little further in you can find stretch of bars where each one of the bar has their own live band. You can shop, you can have your dinner there and head to the bar for few drinks before your flight the next day. Most of the people who comes here are usually the locals. So if you don't speak Thai, be prepared to spare some time because they will somehow find someone who can speak basic English. Thai people are nice, aren't they? The operation hours of this place would be from 5pm til late night. And it opens EVERYDAY! If you do not have enough cash, do not worry there will be few ATM by the entrance.
