The garden charges an entrance fee of 90 Baht. Despite the rain, the garden's beauty is undeniably captivating. The artistic design and beautifully arranged flowers make it a photographer's paradise. It's a place where one can easily spend half a day capturing the vibrant colors of nature.

The gardens are a remarkable feat, immaculately maintained and teeming with a variety of plants, flowers, trees, and landscaped features. The site is easy to navigate and the higher altitude offers a slightly cooler climate. A leisurely stroll around the garden should not be too strenuous for most visitors. However, the garden is just one of the three attractions in the area. The Hall of Inspiration is a must-visit, providing insightful information about the royal family, gardens, pavilion, and the transformative project itself. The three local attractions can be visited in about three hours, with a combined ticket available for 220 baht. The journey from Chiang Rai takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Visitors are often fortunate to witness the gardens in full bloom, creating a mesmerizing sea of color. The gardens are not usually crowded, and there is plenty to see. However, it's worth noting that the gardens are built on a sloping incline, and the exit involves an upward sloping path of approximately 100 meters.

The Mae Fah Luang Garden, located in front of the Doi Tung Villa, spans an area of 10 rai. It is a garden of cold winter flowers such as Salvia, Petunia, Begonia, roses, auspicious trees, perennials, and more than 70 species of wood sculpture. The garden is open daily from 06.30 to 18.00 hrs, with an admission fee of 90 baht.

Visitors to Chiang Rai should not miss the opportunity to visit this stunning garden. Despite being a 40-minute drive north of the city, the journey is well worth it. The gardens are not overly large, but they are beautifully maintained and offer some of the most stunning views. There is also an elevated tree walk above the wooded part of the area, offering breathtaking vistas into the mountains. The garden provides a peaceful, contemplative space for visitors.

The garden is particularly enchanting during the Asean Flower Festival. The festival features free entertainment, including a live band and dancers, with seating for about 300-400 people.
