The small waterfall is a charming sight to behold. It features many tiers that visitors can ascend via a steep path, offering increasingly elevated views of the falls. However, it's important to note that this waterfall is not suitable for swimming.

The journey to the top of the waterfall can be quite challenging, with numerous stairs to climb. It may not be suitable for those with mobility issues or the elderly. Despite the physical exertion required, many find the climb worthwhile for the tranquility and lack of crowds at the top. After the climb, visitors can explore the nearby Mea Kampon village and enjoy a relaxing coffee break.

The waterfall, while not grand in size, is worth an hour's visit. The ladders and steps provided make the climb to the top manageable, and the view from the top offers excellent photo opportunities. There's also a wading pool at the first waterfall, which can be tempting for a quick dip and relaxation, although privacy might be an issue on busier days. While the waterfall might seem generic to those who have visited many waterfalls, it still offers a lovely experience, especially when visited during quieter times.

The waterfall is conveniently located near Mae Kam Pong village, making it easily accessible for those staying in the area. While it may not be the most stunning or unique waterfall, its proximity to the village makes it a worthwhile visit.

The path to the waterfall is quite steep and uneven, so it's advisable to wear proper shoes. The path can also get slippery in the rain, so caution is advised. Despite these challenges, the waterfall is a beautiful sight and is usually not too crowded, offering a peaceful experience.

The Mae Kompong Waterfall is located about an hour's drive east of Chiang Mai in the mountains. It's a 7-tier waterfall that flows down the mountain in a unique way. While it's not as high as the Cha Son Waterfall, it offers a different experience. However, it's worth noting that it's a long drive just to see this waterfall.

The total height of the falls can be quite surprising, and even during the early dry season in December, there's a good flow of water over the falls, which must be even more impressive during the rainy season.
