The staff is friendly and the teachers are pleasant and skilled, ensuring that guests learn useful cooking techniques. The dishes that guests prepare are delicious, and there's so much food that guests are advised not to eat beforehand or they might be too full to walk!

The cooking experience at Mama Noi Thai Cookery School is immersive and comprehensive. It begins with a visit to the market, where guests learn about herbs and spices from Chef Arm and his assistant Noon. The chefs are not only great teachers but also knowledgeable about the ingredients used in Thai cooking. Guests often wish they could cook more dishes, such is the enjoyment they derive from the experience.

The cookery school also offers a fabulous morning excursion where guests learn to make Thai food. The market tour is interesting, highlighting the ingredients that will be used in the lesson. The cooking lesson is a fun and enjoyable way to learn how to prepare delicious Thai food. The school also provides a pickup service from the hotel and includes a lovely cookbook.

The cooking class at Mama Noi Thai Cookery School is also very accommodating for vegetarians and those with dietary restrictions. Before the cooking starts, guests are taken to a local market which is both interesting and informative. The food prepared during the class is plentiful and delicious. The teacher, Arm, is very friendly and ensures that everyone has a great time.

The cookery school is highly recommended for those visiting Chiang Mai. The chef speaks excellent English and has a good sense of humor. The school is also very accommodating for those with allergies, ensuring that all ingredients and dishes are suitable for those with dietary restrictions. The food prepared is some of the best, and there's so much of it that guests often have to pack some to take away. The venue itself is beautiful and picturesque.

The environment at Mama Noi Thai Cookery School is pleasant, with wonderful grounds. The teachers do a good job of instructing the guests, and the food prepared is very good. Guests are given a souvenir book with recipes to take home. Some guests wish they could spend more time in the market with a guide to learn more about the produce.

In addition to the cooking school, there's also an elephant sanctuary in Phuket. For a fee, guests are picked up from their hotel and taken to the sanctuary. Upon arrival, guests are greeted by the staff and an elephant. After a talk about the dos and don'ts and the work that the sanctuary does, guests are taken to the food shed to get baskets of melons, bananas, and bamboo sticks for feeding time. The elephants are friendly and tame, and they willingly take the food from the guests' hands. After feeding time, it's time for a mud bath for everyone, which the elephants thoroughly enjoy. Then it's time for showers and lunch. The sanctuary also sells t-shirts and hats, the proceeds of which go towards supporting the sanctuary. The sanctuary does not allow riding, focusing instead on the well-being of the elephants. It's a worthwhile visit and the money spent goes towards a good cause.
