The journey with Jaravee Tours was a memorable one, especially for a family with four kids aged between 6 and 16. The trip was safe and well-organized, with a clean ferry and sanitized snorkel masks. The clear blue-green waters of Thailand were a sight to behold, without the need for a lengthy and expensive boat ride. The proximity of this location to the mainland makes it a preferred choice over destinations like Ko Phi Phi or Similan.The tour included a visit to a dark cave, which was a thrilling experience, despite being a bit frightening for the younger ones. The cave ceiling was impressively high, about 100 feet. The coral reefs were stunning, and the sunlight made the water even clearer and brought the fish out. The lunch provided was delicious, including spicy yellow curry, rice, fresh fruit, and pandan cake.
The best time to visit is early in the morning, around 8:30 am, to avoid the crowd. The cave swim was a unique experience, and the nature hideaway was perfect. The cave was accessible by swimming or a small canoe.
The journey through the dark cave or channel was the only way to reach the stunning beach surrounded by steep rocks and beautiful plants. A waterproof torch was recommended for the swim.
The evening visit was also suggested as one of the highlights of the trip. The sight of stepping out of the tunnel into the cave was mind-blowing. However, it was advised to ensure no tourist boats were moored outside before heading in, as it could get busy.
The cave was accessible only at low tide via an 80m long tunnel. Renting a private longtail boat was necessary for the visit. The sight that awaited after the tunnel was one of nature's wonders. The experience was even more special when there were fewer people around.
The cave visit was a fun and unique experience. It was important to visit when there were fewer tourists. The sight might not match the pictures, but it was guaranteed to be a memorable trip, especially for children.
The private tour to the cave was a fun experience, including some snorkeling. The sight of tourists floating in a row with their life jackets, being swum into the cave by a tour guide, was amusing. The cave was best visited early in the morning to avoid the crowd. A waterproof bag was recommended to carry belongings, as there was a bit of land in the middle of the cave and a tiny beach to walk upon. The Morakot Cave was a must-visit for all.
