About Oceanic Divecenter

Oceanic Dive Centre in Phuket is a highly recommended destination for both novice and experienced divers. In April 2023, a visitor completed their advanced adventurer certificate with Oceanic, having previously returned to basics in December 2022. The instructors, Rachel and J, were praised for their professionalism, timely responses, and smooth, well-planned arrangements. J, in particular, was commended for his patience when teaching two 13-year-olds how to dive. The diving sites in Phuket were described as beautiful, with better visibility in April than in December. Oceanic was recommended for anyone wanting to learn or go diving in Phuket, especially those with children keen to learn.

Rachel was noted for her helpfulness, from initial email inquiries to detailed answers to questions. Oceanic was also appreciated for its flexibility with dates. A visitor's son completed his open water training with Rachel, who was praised for her patience and ability to create a great time for all.

One diver, who had scuba dived in several countries and different parts of Thailand, declared Oceanic as their favourite dive centre. They were impressed by the professionalism of the centre and the excellent communication with Rachel even before arriving in Phuket. Rachel's enthusiasm and care for the underwater world were infectious, enhancing the appreciation of the dive sites in Phuket. The diver was so pleased with the level of professionalism that they took their girlfriend, a non-diver, for a Scuba diver certification. Rachel was described as detailed, calm, professional, and patient, successfully teaching the girlfriend to enjoy the underwater world and key techniques like neutral buoyancy on the first day. The dive sites of Racha Yai and Racha Noi were recommended for first-time divers.

Rachel was also praised for her meticulous planning and ability to adapt to changing COVID restrictions. A group of divers enjoyed a series of dives at amazing sites, and Rachel was able to certify one of the group members in advanced/nitrox diving without missing a dive with the group.

Another diver had a fantastic day out with Oceanic, diving at the King Cruiser wreck, Shark Point, and Koh Doc Mai. Despite being an advanced open water diver, this was their first wreck dive, boat dive, and wall dive. They had a great guide, James, who took good care of them and showed them lots of interesting things. The dive boat used by the company was spacious with ample space to soak up the sun.

A beginner open water diver had a beautiful day on a boat dive at the end of 2019. They felt very safe underwater and saw charming creatures and fishes. Simon, their guide, was very helpful, and Rachel at the Oceanic office was also very professional and nice.

The couple who run the dive centre were described as absolutely wonderful. Rachel was particularly helpful in advising on the best dives to do at what times. A visitor's partner, who was not qualified and had only done a scuba intro, was able to use the three dives they had booked towards qualifying. Simon was praised for his teaching skills and for helping with some of the stronger currents. The couple also welcomed visitors for a beer or a cup of tea, adding a personal touch to the experience. The centre had a lot of regulars who always return, and the visitor vowed to use them again if they ever go back.
