Nestled in the northern part of Thailand, near the privately owned Sukhothai airport, lies an organic farm and resort that serves as a knowledge center for agriculture. This unique destination showcases the traditional way of life in the region, with its rice paddy fields, horticulture, and a vibrant orchid garden. The farm also boasts a vegetable farm and several intriguing sites to explore, such as a Stupa featuring traditional Sukhothai architecture and Lord Buddha relics, as well as an outdoor exhibition of dinosaur sculptures.

The estate, owned by the proprietor of Bangkok airline, offers a unique experience that goes beyond the typical tourist attractions. Visitors can enjoy a tour around the vast orchid house, meet the owner's pet lion, and even try their hand at planting rice in traditional rice planter's clothes. While the idea of donning the attire might initially seem amusing, the actual experience of planting rice is quite enjoyable. Unfortunately, visitors don't get to use the water buffalo, but seeing them up close is a treat in itself.

The resort, built by the owner of Thai Airways, serves as a transit hotel for Sukhotai Airport. However, it offers much more than just a place to rest. It's a fantastic location to learn about Thai agricultural practices and farming. It provides a welcome respite from the bustling crowds and sweltering heat of Bangkok, making it an ideal spot for reflection and yoga. It's also a great destination for families, offering educational tourism at its best. Children will love the opportunity to collect duck eggs from the coop in the morning and even have a photo op with a buffalo. The morning guided tour is highly recommended for its educational value. All food served at the resort is produced within the farm itself, ensuring fresh and delicious meals.

Visitors can also enjoy a three-hour tour of the project, which includes a visit to the airport, the orchard and vegetable garden, the rice paddies, and the rice mill. The tour also offers a chance to learn how to make flowers out of banana leaves and understand what makes the project so forward-thinking. The experience of planting rice and preparing the field in the traditional way, knee-deep in mud, adds a unique touch to the Thailand experience.

However, some visitors might find the experience less authentic than expected. The tour might feel more like a staged experience rather than an outdoor course. The requirement to wear a farmer's uniform might seem unnecessary and the water buffalo riding might not meet everyone's expectations. Despite these minor drawbacks, the lunch served is delicious and beautifully presented, featuring fresh ingredients and unique dishes.

The project is well put together, with friendly and welcoming staff. The layout is beautiful, with a fabulous cafe overlooking the rice paddies and gardens. The rice served here is said to be the best in Asia. The project is also conveniently located near the Heritage resort, making it easily accessible for those staying there.

The organic farm is a famous Bangkok Airways project located next to the lovely Sukhothai airport. Visitors are encouraged to take a plane from Bangkok to land in the beautiful countryside. From the plane, one can see a herd of white buffaloes and beautiful special grass all over. The airport itself is like a miniature museum. About two kilometers from the airport is the organic project where visitors can learn everything about organic agriculture. The project even offers the opportunity to spend half a day working in the rice fields and learning how to do it.
