It's a place where one can enjoy the authentic Thai street food from several restaurants in the area. The beach, however, is not as pristine as one might expect from the pictures. It's not uncommon to find plastic bags, polystyrene containers, bottles, cans, and other debris scattered across the sand. Despite this, the beach still holds a certain charm that attracts both locals and tourists alike.

The beach is not easily accessible due to the rocky cliffs and the lack of public transportation. There are no buses or tuk-tuks available, which can make the journey to the beach a bit challenging. The hotels in the area are known to offer transportation services, but these can be quite expensive. Despite these challenges, the tranquility of the beach can be worth the effort for those seeking a quiet and peaceful break.

The beach is also home to a number of seafood restaurants. One can enjoy a relaxing meal with a few beers while taking in the beautiful view of the sea. However, it's important to note that the prices can be quite steep. For instance, ordering two dishes and three large Heinekens can cost up to 910 baht. Additionally, some restaurants do not provide eating utensils, so it's advisable to come prepared.

While Phala Beach may not be the best choice for sightseeing, it does offer a unique local experience. The beach is backed by shady Casuarina Pine trees, providing a perfect spot to enjoy snacks and cold drinks from street vendors. However, the beach's potential is marred by the litter problem. Despite the presence of a large sign calling for volunteers to help clean up the beach every Wednesday, the initiative seems to be ineffective as the rubbish remains.

Phala Beach, with its long curved silver sand beach and clear blue water, could potentially be one of the best beaches in Rayong Province. However, the litter problem needs to be addressed. If the beach were to be cleaned up, it could easily become a popular tourist attraction. Until then, visitors should be prepared for a less than pristine beach experience. Despite these issues, Phala Beach still offers a unique local experience that can be worth the visit for those seeking to experience the authentic Thai beach life.
