The Thai cooking class experience is a unique opportunity to learn how to cook authentic Thai food using local and fresh ingredients. The classes are run by a team of experienced Thai cooks who bring a completely authentic approach to Thai cuisine, while being flexible and adaptive to the nature of ingredients. This is not just a cooking class, but a culinary journey that has been highly recommended by many who have had the pleasure of participating.

The class is led by Kan, a local grandmother with an amazing character and excellent English skills. The day begins at the market where participants pick out ingredients for the dishes they have chosen to prepare. After the market visit, participants are transported to Kan's nearby kitchen where she explains in detail the steps needed to prepare each dish. She also provides tips on substitute ingredients in case some are not available in the participants' home countries. After some preparation time, participants move to the stoves to cook their meals. The best part, of course, is eating the phenomenal meal that they have cooked themselves. This is quite different from other cooking classes where participants do not always get to eat what they cook.

The hosts are incredibly hospitable, making the cooking class feel more like a family dinner. Kan, short for Kanchana, prepares her dishes with a full variety of exotic Thai vegetables and ingredients. Her brother San, short for Hassan, brings humor to the operation. He too is an adept cook and sometimes takes the lead for some of the classes. The experience is fully customizable to the participants' preferences. For instance, if participants want the food to be halal, it can be arranged. The market experience is authentic and the best part of the experience is when everyone digs into what they have cooked. It feels like a typical Asian family dinner around the table.

The Thai cooking experience is well organized and a great way to learn about this wonderful cuisine. Participants can choose a day that cooks some of their favorite dishes. The class is not only educational but also very hygienic. Participants learn a lot about the ingredients to use and how to prepare them. They get a lot done in the session, including popular dishes like tom yum kung, pad thai, green curry, and sticky rice with mango.

The cooking class is super fun and well organized. Participants are picked up from their hotels and taken to a small local market nearby to learn how to purchase ingredients for their dishes. After the market tour, they are taken back to the classroom where they are welcomed by the hosts and helped throughout the entire class. The steps are all very clear and simple. Participants get to taste and eat everything that they cook, and they can pack all the leftovers as well. They are also provided with paper copies of all the recipes so that they can make them again when they return home.

Chef Sun, another instructor, is also highly praised. His English is more than exceptional and he guides participants through the process of picking out fresh ingredients for the dishes at a local Thai market near the resort. The cooking school, owned by him and his sister, is small but very well suited for classes. The food is delicious and there's plenty of it. They provide takeaway containers for some dishes and bags for others, which is very Thai.

Overall, the Thai cooking class experience is excellent and well organized. The hosts are hospitable and the food is exceptional. Participants are picked up from their hotels, taken to a small market to learn about local ingredients and spices, and then brought to a friendly, very clean, and cozy kitchen where they cook together some exceptional local foods. The experience is highly recommended and is a very well spent time with exceptional hosts.
