The sunset ride on Bang Tao beach is a magical experience that leaves a lasting impression on its visitors. A group of four friends embarked on this journey, two of whom had never ridden before. The guides were exceptional in their approach, allowing the group to gallop along the beach when there were fewer people around and even took them into the sea. The horses were well cared for and the staff were meticulous in assessing the ability of each rider before allowing them to trot and canter. An added bonus was the guides' photography skills, capturing the memorable moments beautifully.

However, not all experiences were as smooth. One visitor, who goes horse riding every holiday, found the beach ride in Thailand to be a bit challenging. The morning was extremely hot, and for most of the ride to the beach, there was no shade. The visitor's horse was a bit cranky and wanted to stop all the time to eat the bushes. Despite being told not to let the horse eat, it was difficult to hold him back from eating the bushes. The horse also refused to go into the water, which was a disappointment for the rider. The guide's lack of English also posed a problem when he was trying to warn about fishing lines stretched out over the beach. Despite these issues, the horses looked well cared for, the staff were friendly, and the activity was reasonably priced.

Another visitor, a horse rider back home, was initially apprehensive about the conditions of an equestrian facility in Thailand. However, she was pleasantly surprised to find all the horses in good condition, with well-fitted gear and neatly shod feet. The grooms were friendly and quick to unsaddle the horses and hose them off upon their return. The horses were kept in nice, neat stables with ample hay. The visitor highly recommended the experience to others, regardless of their level of experience.

However, not all experiences were positive. One visitor booked the sunset ride as a birthday present for her partner, who was slightly heavier than the weight restriction of 85kg. They were told they could not go ahead, which resulted in a disappointing experience and a wasted taxi fare.

She got to ride three different horses and expand her skills across each. She admired the fact that the stable rescues and cares for horses with handicaps and keeps fans on horses in the heat. She advised others to be honest about their riding skills to get an animal matched to their capability.

However, one family had a traumatic experience when the husband was badly bitten by a young colt in the barn. The staff were not properly trained to handle the situation, and there was no medical kit available. The staff's attitude and professional conduct were also called into question. The family had to visit a hospital for treatment, which disrupted their plans for the day.

Another visitor had a frustrating experience trying to book a ride for their four-year-old. The reception was unhelpful and rude, providing no information about availability and abruptly ending the call.
