Prang Kraek, one of the oldest Khmer/Hindu shrines in Central Thailand, is a monument of significant historical value in Lop Buri. Restored by King Narai in the 17th century and more recently by the Fine Arts Department, it stands as a testament to the region's rich heritage. The monument consists of three prangs or spires, standing without adjoining corridors, a unique architectural feature that sets it apart.

Located near the bustling market streets, Prang Kraek is conveniently situated for those visiting the Samdet Phrai Narai National Museum in Lop Buri. A short walk along the road from the museum will lead you to this ancient shrine, making it an easy addition to your sightseeing itinerary.

Despite its location between two streets, Prang Kraek is a site that can easily be missed. However, its historical significance and unique architecture make it worth a visit for those interested in exploring the ancient civilization of Lop Buri.

Although smaller in size than the famous Prang Sam-Yod, also known as the Monkey Temple, Prang Kraek offers a different kind of charm.
