About Rainbow Lanta Travel and Tour

The tour was a wonderful experience, with an excellent guide who was both kind and skilled. The journey was peaceful and beautiful, with smooth pick-up and drop-off services, and everything was very timely. However, some aspects of the tour were a little underwhelming. The boat ride was long and there was no safety briefing. The life jackets on board were faulty and there were no towels available, which made the hour-long boat ride in the rain uncomfortable. Despite these issues, the timing and pace of the day were good, with enjoyable hours spent at the national park and an amazing buffet lunch.

The tour also included kayaking through a cave and around some islands for about 45 minutes. Lunch was set up on another island where tourists could eat and relax for about an hour. Fresh watermelon and water bottles were provided on the boat. The highlight of the tour was the opportunity to feed monkeys and have one jump on the boat. However, the tour ended a bit early due to an approaching storm.

Snorkeling in crystal clear water was another highlight of the tour. The staff were helpful, acting as boat crew, lifeguards, and guides, and were very friendly. They were particularly good with children, making the trip a great day out for families. However, the boat was crowded, with over 40 people crammed into a space that could comfortably fit 20-25. The tour guide provided minimal information and there were no shower facilities available for the whole day.

Based on the tour description, some tourists expected to kayak at three different islands, but the tour only included one island. The tour was also shorter than stated in the details, ending after roughly six hours. The boat was loud, which could be uncomfortable for some. The day included a visit to the pier, a sail to an island, kayaking near the island, a sail to a third island for lunch, and a chance to swim and snorkel. There was also an opportunity to feed a monkey.

The visit to Emerald cave was a fun experience, with tourists swimming through a pitch-black cavern lit by the headtorches of the guides. However, the snorkeling spots were disappointing due to poor visibility, possibly due to pollution. The lunch on the fourth island was tasty, but the boat was extremely loud, causing discomfort for several people. Despite these issues, the tour was quite enjoyable and offered good value for the price.
