Siam Country Club Pattaya is a prestigious club that offers a private and relaxed atmosphere for members, families, and visitors alike. The driving range is considered the best in the region, offering quality golf balls at a fair price. It also boasts a large chipping green and a perfect greenside bunker. However, it's worth noting that the chipping green is closed on certain days, and the information regarding this may not always be accurate. The club also has a policy against food and beverages on the course, but the restaurant that sells these items may not always be open.The golf course itself is very well maintained and offers some special packages that are worth checking out. The staff is attentive and flexible, often offering golfers the option to start a little later if they wish. The layout of the course is impressive, with challenging holes and stunning views of the nearby lakes and mountains. The greens and fairways are in excellent condition, making for a truly enjoyable golfing experience.
Upon arrival at Waterside, guests are treated with the utmost respect and customer service is top-notch. The facilities are great and directions to various amenities such as the caddy and clubs, practice fairway, and cafe are easy to follow. Despite occasional delays due to weather conditions, the club ensures that guests are well taken care of, offering cold drinks in the bar and a hot breakfast with coffee. The course layout is well maintained, with tree-lined bunkers, lakes, and streams. There are watering holes every 3-4 holes stocked with food, hot/cold beverages, and ice. The fairways are well cut and the bunkers are filled with soft sand. The caddies are some of the best around, providing excellent service.
The course is often praised for its excellent conditions, stunning views, and friendly employees. Many consider it the best course in Thailand, with some of the best caddies in the country. However, not all experiences with the caddies have been positive, with some guests finding them disrespectful and unhelpful. Despite this, the beauty of the golf course remains undeniable.
While the course is beautifully laid out with superb holes and is extremely well maintained, some guests have found their experience marred by overbooking and poor marshalling. This can result in long waits on every hole and a total round time of up to five hours. Additionally, golfers are sometimes put on the back nine first, which can lead to a lengthy wait when they get to the first nine. Despite these issues, the Siam Country Club Pattaya remains a popular destination for golfers seeking a high-quality golfing experience in Thailand.
