Tucked away in the heart of Thailand, lies a hidden gem for golf enthusiasts - a country golf course that is considered the best in the nation. This course is known for its early starts, especially during the E san championships. The semi-darkness adds a layer of challenge, as golfers and their caddies often lose sight of the ball. The course is beautifully designed with challenging water and sand bunkers strategically placed to catch out those who stray too far off the fairways. The condition of the course is impeccable, with just the right amount of grass on the fairways and in the near rough, making it very playable.

Located about 8km from the city, this fabulous championship course offers full facilities and a “Sports Day” pricing from Monday to Wednesday. Each golfer is provided with a cart for 600 baht. The course is well-maintained with wide fairways, making it not too treacherous for a relaxing day out. It is advisable to call for booking first, as there is an English language option available. The course also boasts a great restaurant and bar area, along with a superb locker room. However, non-golfers who wish to accompany players on the course are charged a “walkers fee”. Despite this, the course is considered the finest in the area and is well worth the effort to get there. The drainage system is superior to many other courses, ensuring that a wet day does not ruin the golfing experience.

The course is pristine and well-kept, with forgiving fairways for those wayward shots. However, it can get quite hot on the course due to the lack of trees, making a golf buggy a necessity. While it is slightly more expensive to play compared to other courses in the area, it is a must-visit for any golfers touring the area.

However, there have been instances where non-playing partners were not welcomed without paying a fee. This has led to some dissatisfaction among visitors who simply wanted to enjoy the scenery and take photos. Despite this, the staff has been apologetic, attributing this to a rule from management.

There have also been unfortunate incidents of theft in the locker room. Visitors have reported money being stolen from their wallets while they were showering. This has led to some concern among golfers, and it is advised to always keep your belongings in hand, especially when going to shower.

Despite these issues, the course is still considered the best in the North-East, and the most expensive north of Kao Yai. The caddies are knowledgeable and the changing/locker rooms are top-notch. The clubhouse features a good restaurant serving reasonably priced Thai food with good service. While most caddies do not speak English, some do, adding to the convenience for international visitors.

The course is of high international class and offers a great experience at a reasonable price. The layout, locker rooms, restaurant, pitstops, and caddies all contribute to a great day at this golf course. The course is a great challenge with many nice hazards, making it a thrilling experience for golfers. The lower price on sports day makes it even more attractive. The course leaves a lasting impression on its visitors, who often express a desire to return.
