About Sook Siam
Located on the ground floor of the ICONSIAM mega-project, there lies an inspirational city that embodies a new concept of 'co-creation'. This unique blend of retail experience and cultural attraction offers a glimpse of Thailand in a Day. At SOOKSIAM, visitors can immerse themselves in a million untold stories and the charming DNA of Thai culture. This includes authentic Thai foods, arts, handcrafts, and performances from all 77 provinces of Thailand, all in one destination. Although it may feel a bit artificial, the overall experience is quite pleasant.SOOKSIAM attempts to recreate the atmosphere of the night and street markets of Bangkok. It is easily accessible via hotel shuttle boat or Sathom ICONSIAM shuttle. For those who prefer not to venture into a night market or sample street food from local sources, this is a great alternative. While the shops may not be the main attraction, the food certainly is. The oyster omelet, in particular, comes highly recommended.
The vibe at SOOKSIAM is something to be experienced. Many visitors come here for dinner and are captivated by the energy from all the locals. It's a must-visit place for hawker food in Bangkok. Despite being located inside a 5-star shopping mall, it's clean, air-conditioned, and very reasonably priced.
The food hall at SOOKSIAM is a sight to behold. It boasts an amazing array of different cuisines located in themed venues. The setup is upmarket and tasteful, without being tacky. Yet, the prices are very reasonable, with some equivalent to street stalls. It's a place you must visit when in Bangkok.
SOOKSIAM also offers a safe place to experience some tourist culture. Visitors can sample safe street food, pick up some handmade souvenirs, and enjoy the mock indoor floating market. It's a really nice place to spend an evening with young children. While it may not be a must-see, it's an easy place to visit with children.
This lovely space is also a great spot to eat and relax. The old-style Thai music and atmosphere make it an excellent stop on a rainy day or during a mid-river cruise day.
Many visitors find themselves returning to SOOKSIAM multiple times. It's part of the Icon Siam and located at the ground floor. The authentic foodstuffs, restaurants, and souvenirs are a big draw. All areas are lovely and attractive to all guests. It's one of the must-visit places in Bangkok.
SOOKSIAM is an interesting venue to display Thai culture. Despite being located in a luxury mall, the prices for food and drinks are kept affordable. This indoor night market is a unique experience that shouldn't be missed.
