About The Cave Bar
Nestled at the base of Mount Chiang Dao, The Cave Bar/Guesthouse is a charming retreat that offers a unique blend of comfort, hospitality, and entertainment. The guesthouse provides a variety of accommodation options, including a king-size en-suite bedroom equipped with air conditioning, a fan, hot shower, water kettle, and in-room coffee. The price ranges from THB 500-800 per night depending on the season. There are also two shared bedrooms available at THB 200 per person, each featuring two double beds, shared toilet and hot shower, and free coffee and drinking water available at any time of the day.The rooms share a large private backyard, complete with a gazebo, fire pit, hammocks, picnic table, and propane BBQ. Guests can have local food delivered at local prices or bring it from their favorite restaurant at no extra charge. The backyard offers a serene space for guests to relax and enjoy the view in relative solitude. The guesthouse also provides free Wi-Fi Internet Services in all rooms and free gated parking for privately owned or rented vehicles.
The Cave Bar/Guesthouse is owned by Ms. Buppha Zitta, a local of Chiang Dao, who is known for treating her guests like visiting family. She often invites guests to join her on local excursions to destinations unknown to other tourists. The guesthouse is conveniently located between the village's two main attractions, the Chiang Dao Cave and Wat Tham Pha Plong, making it an ideal base for exploring the area. The local village BBQ's, wildlife preserve, and Pha Daeng National Park are all within walking distance.
The property also boasts its own recreational room and full bar, known as The Cave Bar. This is not only the best bar in town but also the only real bar within walking distance from the attractions and other guest houses. The bar features a quality pool table, real dart board, and an online flat screen TV with indoor and outdoor speakers. Guests can enjoy a wide range of concert videos or play their favorite music on YouTube. The Cave Bar is a local hangout where Thais and travelers from around the world begin lasting friendships. The bar closes when the guests want it to, ensuring the party continues at a more personal level.
The local town of Chiang Dao, only 5 kilometers away, is well known for its local markets and excellent restaurants. Many hill-tribe people work and shop in this quaint town. The hot springs are also just a short ride away. The Cave Bar/Guesthouse also offers motorcycle rental upon request or pre-booking with your registration.
