About The Chiangmai T.U.M Travel - Elephant Trekking Care

The tour was an absolute delight, with friendly elephants and an exceptional guide. The day was filled with joy and adventure, even the rain during the trekking tour added an interesting twist to the experience. The elephant camp was a welcoming place where visitors could feed, touch, and bathe the elephants, who were very friendly. The guide was excellent, narrating stories throughout the day and proving to be a very pleasant companion.

This tour was a highlight for many during their Asia trip. The guide, Tum, was knowledgeable about the elephants, nature, and the area. He made a great effort to ensure everyone was having the best day and getting great photos. The visitors got to spend a lot of time with the elephants and Tum was excited to introduce them. The waterfall hike was beautiful and the rafting was very fun. Choosing this tour was a decision many were glad they made.

The tour started with Tum collecting the visitors from their hotel and taking them to the Kanjana Elephant Sanctuary. Here, they got to feed the elephants, learn about them, hug and kiss them, and wash them. It was a complete elephant experience. The elephants were well taken care of at the sanctuary, which was beautiful to see. The visitors were given clothes so theirs wouldn't get dirty and there were showers on site to clean up afterwards.

Next, they had a Thai lunch, which was very tasty and not spicy. After lunch, they did the trek to Huaysatan Waterfall. The walk wasn't difficult and took just under an hour. The path was covered by trees most of the time so the heat wasn't unbearable. The waterfall was beautiful, very picturesque and quite shallow so you could just walk or sit in it. The day ended with rafting, a lovely way to finish off the day. Tum was a lovely and jolly man and provided great entertainment throughout the day. He looked after the visitors' belongings and went above and beyond to take so many photos of the whole experience, which he then sent to them. The tour was very safe and fun.

The tour was well organized and had a little of everything; interacting with elephants, trek to waterfalls and white water rafting. Tum was very responsive to questions and the price was fair. The elephant camp was fun, where visitors learned about the elephants’ behaviors and habitat. They fed, bathed and interacted with them for about 2 hours. Then had lunch at the facility before setting out for the hike. The hike to the waterfall was moderate in difficulty. The waterfall was nice and the water around it was shallow so you could wade into it. The white water rafting was along the way between the elephant camp and hike. The water level was starting to rise due to the rainy season starting, so it lasted a little over 30 minutes. The trip was fun and Tum was a pleasant guide.

The tour was created with so much love and personalization. The gentleman who owns the business is also the guide so it was a very personalized experience. He even took pictures of the day and sent them to the visitors afterwards. The elephants were happy and there was no riding. The visitors got to feed, bathe and watch them in their natural habitat. Lunch was huge and there was a lot of variety including options for vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters. The jungle trek to the waterfall was great as the guide was very knowledgeable about the local fruits and plants. The rafting was fun and the tour ended back with the elephants doing their natural thing. The tour was a little higher in price but it was well worth it to avoid the rushed and overcrowded tours.

The sanctuary was highly recommended, the whole experience was incredible. The guide was very kind and fun. This was one of the favorite days for many in Thailand. They got to feed and bathe the elephants and go trekking. Lunch was delicious. Tum was so kind and accommodating to the visitors' needs. He put so much effort into the day to make sure everyone had fun. The rafting was super fun too. It was worth the money and no one was disappointed.
