About The Dive Academy
The Dive Academy is a renowned establishment that offers a variety of diving experiences. It is known for its high standard of teaching, making it an ideal place for both beginners and advanced divers. The academy is the only one on the island that boasts a pool specifically designed for dive training, which adds to the overall learning experience. The dives themselves are nothing short of spectacular, often compared to swimming in a giant aquarium filled with vibrant coral and fish. The staff at the academy are also known to be very helpful in providing information about the local area and suggesting places to visit and stay.The Dive Academy offers a range of diving trips, with a team that is both professional and friendly. The equipment provided is top-notch, and the speedboat used for the trips is in perfect condition. The academy comes highly recommended by those who have experienced these trips.
The academy also offers flexibility in their diving packages. For instance, a couple who visited Samui for a family getaway were able to dive together despite having different packages. The instructors, such as Matt, are praised for their ability to significantly improve divers' skills, such as buoyancy control. The diving spots, especially Sail Rock, offer excellent visibility, making the diving experience even more enjoyable.
The Dive Academy is also a great place for advanced divers. One diver completed their Open Water certification and was so impressed that they returned for their Advanced Open Water certification. The instructors, like Matt, are patient and comprehensive in their teaching approach. Even when visibility was not ideal at Koh Tao, the divers were not too concerned as they were focused on their exams. However, the visibility at Sail Rock was much better, making the dive more enjoyable. The academy also provides great lunches with plenty of food and drink for everyone.
The Dive Academy also offers Instructor Development Courses (IDC). The course is well-structured and organized, and the staff are helpful and friendly. The academy comes highly recommended for any training or diving experiences.
The Dive Academy ensures that all divers, regardless of their experience level, are well looked after. The boat ride to the dive site might be long, but the spectacular diving experience makes it worth the journey. The instructors, like Matt, are excellent guides, ensuring that even unqualified people on the boat are well taken care of.
The Dive Academy is also a great place for young divers. For instance, two young girls, aged 11 and 13, completed their Scuba Diving Course at the academy. The instructor, Julian, was very patient and considerate with the young divers. The instructors are thorough and safety-oriented, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all. The first 12 m dive at Koh Tao was described as unbelievable. The staff on board were helpful and professional, further enhancing the overall diving experience. The Dive Academy comes highly recommended for all diving enthusiasts.
