Despite being one of the older malls in the city, it has maintained its appeal with its clean, neat environment and friendly staff. The mall has undergone some changes in recent times, with several shops closing their doors due to the pandemic. However, it has managed to retain its charm and continues to be a bustling hub of activity.The mall now houses a variety of tech shops, making it a haven for tech enthusiasts. From computer sales and repair shops to photo equipment stores, it offers a wide range of services. For those looking for a quick bite, the mall has a KFC, Watsons, and a Big C market. A delightful coffee kiosk also stands ready to serve you a steaming cup of your favorite brew.
However, the true gem of Pontip Plaza is its top floor. This floor is home to a range of professional services, including legal, visa, and accounting services. It also houses a Thai style food court, offering a variety of local delicacies. But perhaps the most unique feature of this floor is the collection of Thai language schools. These schools offer a unique opportunity for visitors to immerse themselves in the local culture and learn the Thai language.

This was a highlight for a family of visitors who found the mall to be a refreshing change from the usual tourist spots. They particularly enjoyed the food court, where they savored the best fried rice for just 40 baht, equivalent to about $1.26 in USD. The variety of shops and the opportunity to interact with the warm and caring people of Chiang Mai added to their delightful experience.
