About Wang Sai Thong Waterfall

This charming little spot is a hidden gem, where visitors can stand under a cascading waterfall and capture some beautiful memories. It's a place where one can easily spend half an hour, soaking in the serene surroundings and the soothing sound of the water.

The waterfall is one of the highlights of Koh Phangan. For those who love hiking, this place is a paradise. The trail leading to the waterfall is an adventure in itself, and the reward at the end is a refreshing dip in the cool water. It's a perfect blend of adventure and relaxation.

This waterfall seems to be a predominantly local attraction, but it's well worth the trip. It's one of the few waterfalls that can be climbed, making it an exciting experience for all ages. The cool, quiet surroundings provide a lovely alternative to the bustling city of Chiang-Mai. As an added bonus, visitors might even spot a mongoose.

The Wang Sai Thong Waterfall is a unique limestone waterfall. From a distance, it may appear muddy, but up close, it's crystal clear. Visitors can climb from the bottom to the top of the waterfall without slipping. After visiting the waterfall, there's an opportunity to go river canoeing just 5 km away. The entrance fee is 200 baht per person, and parking is available for 30 baht. River canoeing is an additional 250 baht per person.

The waterfall is a great place to relax and enjoy the company of friendly locals. Visitors can climb up the waterfall and sit in the cool flowing water. At night, the area is beautifully lit up, creating a perfect atmosphere to enjoy a beer and some good conversation.

For those seeking a bit more adventure, there's the option of rapid water kayaking. Resorts along the road offer this service, and everything is taken care of. A van picks up guests from the resort and takes them to the starting point upstream. From there, it's a thrilling ride downstream, cascading down several levels, navigating through narrow and sharp corners. The journey is about 7 km long and is reasonably priced.

However, it's important to note that the waterfall may not always be flowing, especially during certain seasons. On such days, the best feature might just be the well-maintained toilets, a small cafe, and shower cubicles. It's always a good idea to check the status of the waterfall before planning a visit.
