The temple of Wat Burapha, located in Roi Et, is home to a truly impressive sight - a towering Buddha statue that stands as the largest of its kind in Thailand, and the second largest in the world. This colossal figure is so tall that it can be seen from most parts of Roi Et, standing as a silent guardian over the city. The only statue taller is the Great Buddha statue at Wat Muang, in Ang Thong Province.The statue is not just impressive for its size, but also for its intricate details. Despite the temple's impressive size and the grandeur of the Buddha statue, entry to the temple is free. However, it seems that there is no way for tourists to climb to the top of the statue. Regardless, the sight of the Buddha from the ground is still a sight to behold.
