The temple is a sight to behold, its beauty enhanced by recent renovations and a fresh coat of paint. However, some areas remain inaccessible, adding an air of mystery to the place. It's a destination that invites repeated visits, each one offering a new perspective or a previously unnoticed detail. The temple is particularly breathtaking at sunrise, when the first rays of the day illuminate its intricate designs and cast a golden glow on its structures.

Despite its beauty, the temple shows signs of wear and tear. It's clear that more funds are needed to maintain and restore the facility to its former glory. The temple's location has been a point of confusion in the past, with some mistaking a nearby tsunami safe house for the temple. However, improvements have been made to clarify its location.

The easiest way to find the temple is from the pier. From there, one simply takes the road on the right and follows the coast for about 200-300 meters. The temple will then be visible on the left-hand side, or on the right-hand side if one is looking for the temple on the pier.

Unfortunately, the shrines within the temple are in a state of disrepair, making them less attractive compared to other temples around Thailand. This could be due to a lack of Buddhist tourists, which in turn means fewer donations for upkeep. However, there is hope that more tourists will visit and contribute to the restoration of this potentially stunning area.

A word of caution for those planning to visit the big golden Buddha: there is a large Asian hornets nest in a nearby tree. Visitors are advised to keep their distance to avoid provoking the insects. Despite these challenges, the temple offers free drinking water to all visitors, a small but thoughtful gesture that adds to the overall experience.
