Wat Pomg Sunan is a temple that stands out from the rest. Its two most striking features are a white, ornate check topped with a multitude of lacy gold spires, and behind it, a colossal golden tortoise carrying a small image of the Buddha. This sight is truly one that should not be missed.

The last ruler of Phrae moved to Vongburi House after relinquishing power and later began funding the refurbishment and rebuilding of the old, derelict temple next door. This temple is perhaps the most famous in downtown Phrae city. It houses the ordinary Buddha, a reclining Buddha, and a good luck tortoise. A white temple is also included in the complex, adding to the variety of sights to see.

Behind these is a compound housing a giant tortoise carrying a standing Buddha. The entire compound is adorned with Chinese lanterns hanging from wires, creating a visually stunning effect.

This temple is not only beautiful but also conveniently located. Its proximity to local accommodations makes it an easy destination for multiple visits. The large reclining Buddha in front of the temple is a sight to behold, and both the interior and exterior of the temple are impressive, especially considering it is a new temple.
