The vibrant and colourful temple and its surroundings are a sight to behold. The temple is superbly maintained, making it worth spending time to explore both the interior and the exterior. The temple is not just beautiful and colourful, but it also offers many more things to see, making it a feast for the eyes.Despite not receiving the publicity it deserves, the temple is a must-see for anyone travelling to Chiang Rai. Some visitors have even enjoyed their visit to this temple more than the famous Wat Rong Khun. Although it's a bit out of the way, the journey is well worth it.
The temple offers something different from the usual. It's a unique blend of modern themes with traditional elements. There are places to eat outside the temple that offer cheap and good food. There's also a place to eat and drink inside the temple. The temple itself is spectacular, and the statues and bells add to the enjoyment of the visit.
The temple is a departure from the seriousness of other temples in town. It leans more towards the 'fun' side with ironic sculptures displayed based on the modern world. The upper part of the temple is still under construction or expansion. It's a well-hidden gem that many wouldn't know about if not for their private drivers.
The Wat Saengkaeo Temple is an astonishing sight. The temple is HUGE, with many different massive statues. There's a group of food vendors selling food in the parking lot of the temple, adding to the overall experience. The temple is well worth a visit, and comes highly recommended.
The temple, located in a modest village in Chiang Rai province, has attracted royal patronage, and the results are breathtaking. There is a fabulous building after fabulous building, and a wide range of statues, rivalling those seen outside India. The monks are friendly, entrance is free, and the photo opportunities are endless.
The temple is beautiful, huge, and epic. It's recommended to leave yourself plenty of daylight to take in all of the statues. Some visitors have rented a car and a driver from Chiang Rai to check out this temple as well as some neighbouring sights. Staying until sunset allows visitors to witness monks chanting in one of the buildings of the compound, adding to the overall enchanting experience.
